The King

Hey guys I’m Ty AKA The King 🏁🇺🇲 The truck was originally a 4cyl truck. It now has 05 stock bottom end 5.7 HEMI And holds stock bottom end world record. My Long term goal to be one of the fastest street trucks in the country. So buckel up what ever that takes I will do it 💪

As far as what got me into racing. When I was young my dad always bought nice hot rods and sports cars and trucks. Mostly Dodge trucks but all kinds of cars. And when we road in any of them he would always be zippin around like speed racer 🤣 I loved the feeling of going fast. You wouldn’t know it now but my dad is one of the best drivers I have ever been in the car with to this day. However he never worked on his cars. And I wanted to know more about what makes them fast and why. 🤔

For me Fast and Furious came out and gave me what at the time I needed. A vision and direction… I didn’t have friends growing up, in some ways I didn’t have family the way I felt I wanted. But Fast and the Furious …Man… they had what I wanted really fast cars, good friends that become the Family all while living life on the edge and not looking back.

However I had a problem….I didn’t have a fast car. I didn’t know how any of it worked or what it took to make something fast. Granted I was 8 years old 🤣 But I was determined to figure it out…

Fast forward to a teenager. I didn’t have tools I didn’t have a shop in the family or anyone to show me how to build a car. Most of all you could see people doubted my ability to do so….. However I went to Costco bought a 200 piece tool set and started teaching myself! I met Chris AKA “Grumpy” he invited me into the car club QMC. And at some point I asked if he could build my motor in my first “quick” car, and if I could watch him do it ! We struck a deal and I got to see how it was Done.

I didn’t have much support from friends, or family when it came to going fast. As for spending money on race cars was looked down upon. On top of that I’m the odd ball I love Mopar. Everyone els wanted to build Fords, Chevys and even Hondas. But never a Mopar till me. Even then everyone told me it was too expensive to make a Mopar fast. I kinda started to believe that maybe it can’t be done…

I needed more fuel ….it wasn’t till my best friend Keith “AKA THE LEGEND” and his Dad looked at me at one point or another and said “I don’t care what you do. You will NEVER beat that Mustang” along with ” I don’t know why but he dosnt like you or believe in you never has” There it was…what I needed to confirm that I need to prove all the doubters wrong. And nope I wasn’t going LS

That had taught me a great life lesson and gave me a purpose to why I’m here today. ALWAYS incourage anyone that has more doubters than friends or family. To stand for people that have been the odd ball and underappreciated. When people tell you it can’t be done or you don’t know how it’s done just do it! Take a risk and take pride in being diffrent no matter you’re car you’re back ground or how little skill and money you have! It is possible it can be done!

That’s the short story not so short.
